All Ability Event

The event is based around lighting and sound installations. There are no strobe lights used in the event, however there are flashing lights and lasers used. Some of the installations use soft hued lights that are more suitable for people who are sensitive to lights. An audio and visual sensitivity map for will be available from 1 June which can allow patrons to select the best installations to visit depending on their needs. The map also includes low-sensory zones with easy access to exits should patrons require a quick exit.

We highly recommend that guests who have auditory sensitivity bring their own equipment (ear muffs) to ensure they are comfortable during the event. For those who require it, 2 adult size and 2 children size sensory-friendly kits are available for free loan at the entry gate. These kits include noise reduction ear muffs, age-appropriate sensory toys and the audio and visual sensitivity map. There are no strobe lights used in the event. Special effect lights will not flash greater than 3 flashes per second. 

Ninety percent of the footprint for Electric Wonderland is on flat surfaces, utilising the excellent path system throughout the park where possible. The only exception is an installation at the cascades, which can only be accessed by hill.

Sound level is no greater than 85db(A) in line with eight-hour exposure limits. The sounds used within Electric Wonderland are to accompany the lights, and are very different in in style and volume to a concert. For those with sound sensitivity, noise reduction earmuffs are available.
